Lads,
There is no training this Thursday as we move over to the all-weather pitches next week (2nd Oct)

personal responsibility for their fitness.

Valeview Shankill (pitch is basically beside Loughlinstown hospital):
Take the N11 all the way to the Loughlinstown hospital roundabout. At the roundabout take the third exit, this will actaully lead you into the grounds of the hospital. As you are entering the hospital grounds keep to the left heading towards the Accident & Emergency car park/entrance. Continue straight ahead pass and up on the grass mound in front of you is an opening in the bushes/trees. The pitch is down that path, you can drive into it and park on the grass.
Its only a couple of hundred yards from the entrance of the hospital.
Sunday
Directions to Brighton Celtic (Cornelscourt):
Take the N11 out to Cornelscourt. The pitch is just behind Dunnes Stores shopping centre. If no parking at pitch park in Dunnes Stores.

League rang me last night with a change to the fixtures. We are now scheduled to play away to Valeview Shankill this Sat.

Daragh

No game for Sat team this weekend. Sunday team away to Brighton Celtic in Cornelscourt.

Daragh

Lads,
We need to recruit more players to St. Judes. We were exposed for numbers over the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday. We should be getting at a minimum 14 players out for each game on a Saturday/Sunday.

Despite having around 45 players registered in the club, each weekend due to either injuries or other commitments we are struggling to get 28 players involved. We need to get another 5-10 players involved in the club. I think we have done well already this season with some of the new players who have come down looking good in training and in the matches. If we continue to recruit this level of ability, experience and commitment it will be a big help.

Get onto people who you know from Astro league or other leagues who might be interested in coming down. In particular we need another keeper. If you work in a large company stick the attached poster up in the canteen and stick your email address/mobile no on it along with the Judes email address.

With thanks
Ronan

St Judes Recruitment Poster

Well lads,

Its that time of the season again when the subscriptions have to be collected.

This year it has been decided to collect the referees fees for the home games in advance to avoid trying to get €3 off each player at the game. One player will now pay the referee at the home game and then receive reimbursement from the club afterwards. The fee of €30 was calculated by multiplying the total home games for both teams in the season by the cost of the referee and dividing the total cost by all the members.

A discounted subscription has also been created for those in full time education or unemployed as detailed below.

The subscriptions for the year are as follows:

Subscriptions – Employed player
Basic Subscription
€200
Referee fees for home games
€30
Total Subscription for year
€230
Subscriptions – Unemployed/Student player
Basic Subscription
€150
Referee fees for home games
€30
Total Subscription for year
€180

Please lodge your subscriptions to the club account as soon as possible.

Ensure that your name has been included on the lodgement and that

you e-mail me once your subscriptions have been paid so that I can keep a record.

Please email Niall for club account details rather than posting them on the web.

Thanks very much,

Niall.

Hi,
Availability
We’ve two games lined up for this weekend. Both of them at home in Marley Park
Sat-06 Sep 08 St. Judes FC V Walkinstown Athletic
Sun-07 Sep 08 St. Judes FC V Fettercairn FC
Can you please get back to me today with availability ? If you can only make one of the days please let me know.
Training
Training tomorrow at the Phoenix Park. Meeting at 6.20 and ready to start at 6.30.
Notice
We had to give a walkover(and luckily avoided a €200 euro fine) last night to Park Celtic because we didn’t have enough numbers. We initially had a squad of 15 which was reduced to 8 by the middle of the day yesterday. I realise there’s genuine reasons with work and everything else but if you realise you’re not going to make the match for whatever reason please make an effort to notify the manager as soon as possible. By texting the previous night it could have given myself or Daragh a chance to get more players to bring their gear into work.
According to the league we shouldn’t have any more midweek fixtures till later in the season.
Regards
Ronan
