Lads,
Well played last Tuesday. In a match in which there was a lot at stake we kept our nerves, played brilliantly and everyone worked very hard for each other. Well done.
Our last Astro match is against Perrem Design Hardware on Friday 7th of March at 8pm in Colmcilles.
I will send a reminder mail closer to the date.
This means no Astro game next Tuesday, I will try to get friendly match organised.
No game this coming Saturday. I am also trying to get the game on Paddy’s weekend called off. Will keep you posted.
Training is on tonight in Sportsco 7- 8:45pm.

Saturday Team
Hi Ronan,
We won 4-0 against Larkview Boys.
Donal scored first midway thru the first half with a cracking shot that hit the underside of the bar from a corner kick.
Darragh chipped the keeper for our second after he beat the Larkview defender for pace.
Alan made it 3-0 in the last 15 mins after a sweeping move he started and finished with a header.
Donal got his second 5 minutes from the end. A quick counter attack released Andy Hayes
on the right and he crossed for Donal to stab home from 16 yards.
Very good all round team performance. Some of the football played was great.
The three subs on the line came on and made a huge difference.

Beat Donore 4-3. Donore went 2-0 up after 15 minutes.
We pulled one back 5 minutes before half time. Shane finished off an excellent move that involved about 5 Judes players interchanging quick passes.
We got a penalty 5 minutes after half time after 2 Donore players fouled the handful Daragh. One Donore caught Daragh on the chest with a kick while the other was helping himself to Daragh’s ankle with a kick, amid all this Daragh didn’t go down. Ref had no option but to give an undisputed penalty. Richie stayed calm under pressure to score to make it 2-2.
Midway through the second half and quick Judes break on the left led to corner kick by conceded by Donore.
Stephen K, playing in midfield on the day & had the Donore midfield maestro in his pocket all afternoon, scored with a very good header to make it 3-2. Shane capitalised on sound showdy goalkeeping by the Donore keeper by duely rounding the keeper pleasantly to make it 4-2. We had a couple of chances to
kill the game off which we missed. Donore’s only danger seemed to come from long throw-ins into the box. With 10 minutes to go Donore had a long throw-in into our 6 yard box and their big centre forward pounced to score from close range.
Referee played 5 minutes injury time but there wasn’t match danger as some Judes defending was resolute and determined. I have to say this is probably the best performance by the Saturday team I have seem in 3 seasons.
